Volunteer Opportunities
The Waverly Opera House is a cultural institution which currently operates through the generosity of community volunteers. Community cultural institutions are far more enjoyable and rewarding than their professional equivalents in that those involved are doing what they do out of the love of bringing enjoyment to their community. As a result, a true feeling of family develops and close long-term friendships form.
If you have a skill or talent you wish to contribute to our efforts, please send an email and let us know how you'd like to become involved.
Here is a partial list of volunteer tasks
Technical: sound board, light board, scene construction, prop master
General: usher, concessions, ticket booth, housekeeping, brass polishing, baking, publicity
Construction: since the building is still a work in progress, volunteers can help with remodeling, cleanup and painting. Talk to Ron Nogar if you'd like to help - 607.565.8714.
