Neil Simon's

August - September, 2007

The original of Simon's many plays that take place in one suite of a hotel over the period of a year, Plaza Suite consists of three vignettes in Suite 719 that range from bittersweet to slapstick. Audiences loved the production.

"The way I see things, life is both sad and funny. I can't imagine a comical situation that isn't at the same time also painful. I used to ask myself: What is a humorous situation? Now I ask: What is a sad situation and how can I tell it humorously?" --Neil Simon.

With set design and lighting by Ron Nogar, directed by Cathleen and David Wiggs the production was underwritten by Chemung Canal Trust Co.
